Clemons “Date Meets Zip” Celebration

Time Noon to 4pm Dresden Town Hall

Every hundred years, for some Post Offices, including Huletts Landing 12841 and Clemons 12819 in the Town of Dresden, the date equals the zip code.  This December 8, 2019, the Clemons Post Office 12819 Zip Code meets that date.   The United States Post Office has approved a specialty postmark for this occasion. A celebration is planned at the Dresden Town Hall, 102 Clemons Center Road, Clemons, NY on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 12 Noon to 4 PM.
We are asking for your help and donations with this Special Occasion for two serious reasons:
A wall plaque honoring Dresden’s Veterans of Foreign Wars is proudly mounted on the outside of our Dresden Town Hall.  It is an impressive black resin commemorative plaque with many soldiers’ names.  Unfortunately, some names were missed. Money from this effort will be used to correct that and to support FHHL projects for the three Hamlets – Huletts Landing, Clemons, and Dresden Station, all in the Town of Dresden.
We have collaborated with the Clemons Post Office to sponsor collectible picture packets of Dresden theme based envelopes (3 per packet) for a donation of $20 per packet.   Your choice of Huletts Landing (3), Clemons (3) or Dresden Station with a South Bay envelope (3) will be mailed back to you.  Each envelope in the individual packets will have postage stamped with the specialty postmark.  Since FHHL is a 501C non-profit organization, your donations are tax deductible.
If you prefer, you can mail your check to one of the above addresses.  You can also purchase the packets by going to our website at  These packets will be available, as well, at the Clemons Post Office from December 8th until the end of December.
Thank you for your support of this community effort.
