America’s First Pandemic Debuted in Whitehall
It is surprising to see, as COVID-19 sweeps the world, how similar some of the challenges are to those the country faced when cholera arrived in 1832. In both cases America watched disease spread from country to country and wondered when, and for some, if, it would reach our shores.
