2008 SUMMER PROGRAM INFORMATION:
Friday July 11, 7:30 at Mountain Grove Memorial Church
Professional genealogist Cindy Rowzee will speak on “Discovering your own family history” Tips from an expert on how to make your research efforts productive and satisfying. Then on Saturday, July 12th she will be available for personal consultations. Call 917-902-7424 for more information and to make an appointment with her for Saturday. There is no need to reserve for the Friday evening discussion.
Sunday August 3, 7:30pm at Mountain Grove Memorial Church
Nick and Nina Danforth will present "Kindred Spirits: The Danforth and Durand families at Land's End." The connection between the families goes back to Asher Durand and Edward Danforth both being master engravers, who became partners and friends. It was Durand who found Lands End, bought property, camped and then built a cabin, boathouse and camp, Forest Ledge, which was passed on by gift to the Danforths 100 years ago.
